FAQs

Sending us audio for mixing? Here's a few tips to help get the best results.

  • Decide beforehand who will be editing, including take selection, etc.

  • Number your tracks sequentially, e.g. "01 Kick In".

  • Label your tracks by instrument, not person.

  • Be consistent in labelling across songs.

  • Be sure to eliminate any pops and clicks from crossfades.

  • Include DI'd dry tracks for any stringed instruments.

  • Make sure you consolidate all tracks to start at 00:00:00.

  • Export your tracks as 24-bit WAV audio files at either 44.1KHz or 48KHz.

  • Export tracks in mono (except perhaps keys instruments)

  • Don't forget to include midi files of song tempo maps, ideally with markers.

  • Make sure the tracks for each song are in separate project folders.
